What do you find most rewarding about working at Dowling & Yahnke?

The staff is extremely friendly, positive, helpful, and supportive; they truly care about their relationships with everyone, staff and clients alike. I am also impressed by the Firm’s community involvement, commitment to “give back,” and in efforts to help preserve our environment by reducing its carbon footprint.

Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke?

While initially working as a temp, I took note of the high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail. Also, I was impressed by the team’s dedication to providing clients with the best possible service, as well as treating staff equitably and with respect. Dowling & Yahnke believes in its employees and provides opportunities for growth within the Firm.

What is your favorite place in San Diego?

Growing up in Fresno, summers were hot and dry. At 23, I decided to move closer to the ocean. The beaches are absolutely my favorite places in San Diego to keep me refreshed and rejuvenated. I love that within an hour you can also be in the countryside, the mountains, the desert, or Mexico!

What is your favorite family tradition?

At Christmas, my Italian family always has a gathering for baking cookies and other Italian delicacies in order to keep our family recipes alive. We all bring our favorite recipes, each person makes several items, and then we divvy them up so everyone has a sampling.

What is your favorite hobby?  Why?

Dancing!  I have danced all my life. Now that my son is grown, I can once again devote time to my passion. When the music starts and I begin to move, I forget about whatever else is happening in my life and can truly live in the moment. I am a member of three performing troupes and enjoy being living proof that age is not a factor. I am very active, love being outdoors, and also enjoy in-line skating, kayaking, paddle boarding, hoop dancing, freestyle frisbee, ping pong, and camping, as well as arts and crafts.

I am happiest when:

Sharing a smile with others!
