What inspired you to work in the financial industry?
My career in television surprisingly led to my interest in the financial industry. When I was a live TV captioner, I did work for the finance news channel, Bloomberg. I got my first glimpse of finance news in all its glory: stocks, bonds, investments, etc. The rest is history!
Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke?
I was drawn to the Firm’s commitment to provide exceptional client service. Our ability to attract and retain clients aligns with my philosophy that success flows from having an amazing team of people who can build and maintain positive, long-lasting relationships with others.
What is the best concert you ever attended?
The best concert I ever attended was when the film score of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was performed live by the San Diego Symphony while the movie played on the big screen at the Jacobs Music Hall in downtown San Diego. The energy and enthusiasm of the audience was amazing!
What is your favorite hobby?
It’s a tie between reading books and swing dancing. I love curling up with a good book on a lazy afternoon and then going out swing dancing later at night.
What book are you currently reading?
The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor. It’s about positive psychology and how positive thinking fuels success in the workplace and in our personal lives.
