What inspired you to work in the financial industry?

Growing up my grandmother taught accounting, my mother was a banker, and my father was the CFO of a Jamaican household goods conglomerate, so I’ve always been interested in finance.

Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke?

I researched San Diego firms when I was moving here from the East Coast and D&Y consistently got top marks for the quality of its people and its dedication to putting the clients’ interests first.

What is your favorite spot in San Diego?

Torrey Pines State Reserve. It’s a perfect showcase for San Diego’s natural beauty and our healthy outdoor lifestyle. I take all my out-of-town visitors there.

Which hobby are you most passionate about?

Dancing. I grew up dancing ballet and now dance tango and salsa. It’s good exercise as well as great stress relief.

What book are you currently reading?

It Can’t Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis
