What do you find most rewarding about working at Dowling & Yahnke?
The thing that stood out to me instantly about D&Y was the community of brilliant people that work here. It’s amazing to be a part of team that is consistently developing themselves and helping the team set goals towards excellence. The values they inspire in the workplace is something that I learn from and try to grow with every day.
Why did you join Dowling & Yahnke?
I originally found out about Dowling & Yahnke when I did a search of the “Best RIA’s in San Diego” online, and after some research I quickly found out that D&Y was a place that I could see myself growing and developing my career. I wanted to work with a firm that set a goal for providing the highest quality in the industry, and always held itself to the fiduciary standards of putting the client’s best interests first. I also wanted a firm that looked toward the future and consistently found ways to improve what they do. These qualities are essential to me and I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the team here at D&Y.
What is your favorite place in San Diego?
I love Ocean Beach. It has the greatest vibe out of all the beaches in San Diego by providing that small, down-to-earth, beach town feeling. If I ever need to relax or unwind, OB always provide a fun outlet. From beach volleyball, relaxing on the beach, or going out to one of the breweries, it always gives me a memorable and happy experience.
What is your personal motto or mantra?
“Failures, repeated failures, are finger posts on the road to achievement. One fails forward toward success.” - C. S. Lewis
This is a great reminder to me that no matter what you do, you never give up and always keep moving forward to attempt to better yourself. I think it’s so important to understand that you need to work hard, learn from the mistakes when they happen, and continue to strive towards greatness in everything you do. Eventually, you will find your way to the success you never knew you wanted.
I am happiest when:
I’m spending time with my friends and family. I was blessed to be born and raised in San Diego, and most of my family and friends are still here. There is nothing better than enjoying great experiences with the ones you love.
