Alana joined Dowling & Yahnke in 1995 and has been a key participant in the development of the firm. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), and has a Master’s Degree in Business, Financial Planning (MS) from San Diego State University. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics.

Alana is a member of the CFA Institute, the Estate Planning Council of San Diego, and is a past President of the CFA Society of San Diego, Inc. She is active in P.E.O., a women’s philanthropic, educational organization. Along with being involved in the community, Alana is an avid world traveler. Born and raised in Iowa, Alana moved to San Diego in 1992.
